This souvenir was created before we went to Spiš in imagination of sculptor Nina A. Šošková. With the cooperation with Jakub Liška, master of “Modranská keramika”, came this idea to the life. The souvenir is inspired by the most traditional Spiš delicacy: sausages and borovička. Did you know that Spiš sausages, originally from Spišké Podhradie, were eaten by ministers of Hungarian government, Czechoslovak president Tomáš Garrigue Masaryk or singer František Kryštof Veselý? This banal object transformed into the shape of jewellery or design object not only characterises the region but also reminds us the legendary delicacy which we have at home. The purpose of the handmade souvenir is to free the theme of the souvenirs but also to entertain us. Every single piece is unique and original. So let it brings to everybody joy and reminds us the legendary delicacy.
Since 2015 with the cooperation of the Slovak designers and artist we are bringing you “the artistic souvenirs”. More information: www.contemporarysuvenir.sk.
